With over 25 years of experience on both the buy and sell sides of Wall Street, Michael Needleman has an abundance of knowledge and expertise in the investment industry. Past experience includes serving as a Portfolio Manager and Partner at Ridgecrest Partners, a Founding Partner of Thomas Weisel Partners and a Senior Managing Partner at both Bear Stearns and Kidder Peabody, as well as a primary consultant to numerous money managers and hedge funds.
Michael currently works full-time at J. Streicher Asset Management where he serves as the CEO and Portfolio Manager specializing in the research of small to mid-cap companies and manages the firm’s long-short strategies and is responsible for the internal marketing of funds as well as functional disciplines.
As an off premise CFO, Michael serves the needs of Indra Public Relations assisting in all financial decisions and transactions of the company.
Joanna Virello is a graduate of New York’s School of Visual Arts who landed in the world of Public Relations. She is a PR and marketing executive with over 15 years of experience in New York City. Joanna got her real start in Public Relations working for Richard Branson’s Virgin Atlantic Airlines and has also worked on product launches for James Dyson. She specializes in creating strategies and campaigns for travel, luxury, design, food and beverage and technology. She has worked with numerous media outlets and has created and branded large and well-attended events.
She is successful in assisting clients on navigating the convergence between traditional media and social media and provides creative support that is pivotal and outside-of-the-box thinking when launching new lifestyle products, technology and events. With senior level experience, Joanna is able to develop innovative marketing strategies to keep our clients one step ahead of the ever-changing consumer and industry landscape.
With 12+ years of experience in media, communications and strategy, Michael Scher has helped many clients and agencies create effective brand narratives that broadcast unique and noteworthy offerings to the widest audience possible. From managing custom content with best-in-class partners, curating newsworthy pitches for talent, Michael drives curiosity, ideation and execution at the highest level, in everything he touches.
Michael began his career managing the studio audience for MTV’s Total Request Live (TRL), producing Stunt/Live advertising integrations with celebrity talent and fans and spearheaded TRL’s first dual-screen, multi-channel experience, integrating mobile, social-media, webcams and transmedia storytelling into the TV viewing experience. From there, he transitioned into the music industry where he worked as a Tour Publicist at a Music PR agency for Another Reybee Production, working with Rey Roldan, formerly from Island Def Jam. His clients included: Robby Takac from the Goo Goo Dolls indie record label, Good Charamel Records, Greenwheel, Turbonegro, Juliana Theory, Let Go, Emery, Paranoid Social Club, Permanent Me, to name a few. Michael transitioned to the corporate side at SONY Music, where he managed their internship program for RCA and hired second assistant candidates for CEO and music legend, Clive Davis as well as Management Trainees for the Chief Operating Officer, Charles Goldstuck. Years later, Michael worked at Dolce & Gabbana, where he managed recruitment and hired positions in Buying, Planning, Digital Communications, Finance and IT, as well as being the gatekeeper to the HR department in addition to the President of North America, Federica Marchionni.
Years later, Michael became the Corporate Communications Manager and Awards Strategist at Universal McCann where he helped clients and brands share their story through building compelling awards submissions that were submitted into media festivals, from copywriting, storytelling to producing branded content campaign videos.
